We all believe in God

in a roundabout way

When ever we're in trouble

most of us pray

We tell Him we'll do better

if He'll just make it right

"I'll even go to church Lord

I've finally seen the light"

But then it's back to normal

we return to our routine

We're lucky that we have the Lord

to be our go - between
